Support for hydrogen technologies in public services and industry

Description

The project is focused on the development of the Ústí nad Labem Region as a “hydrogen valley” according to strategic documents and legal regulations of the EU and the Czech Republic. The goal is to support hydrogen technologies in public services and industry. Thanks to the project, the activities of the Ústí nad Labem Hydrogen Platform will be developed and the regional hydrogen strategy updated, an implementation plan and a number of other strategic documents will be created. The goal is to obtain relevant data and prepare the area for the development of the hydrogen economy, including the effective use of subsidy resources.

The project is funded by the Just Transition Operational Programme 2021–2027.

The Innovation Center of the Ústí nad Labem Region (ICUK) collects and analyzes data necessary for planning hydrogen projects and participates in the creation of strategic documents, such as the regional hydrogen strategy and implementation plan. ICUK also focuses on education and awareness. It organizes professional workshops, seminars and discussion meetings, the aim of which is to raise awareness of the potential of hydrogen and help regional actors understand the possibilities of its use in practice - from transport to energy to industrial applications.

The project is also included in the new brochure #IT IS ENERGY, which summarizes the most important activities in the field of energy in the Ústí nad Labem Region. Available for viewing here.

Solved topics

Development of hydrogen technologies in the region

The project supports the use of hydrogen in industry and public services (e.g. transport, energy), thereby helping to move the Ústí nad Labem region towards modern, sustainable technologies.

Strategic planning and coordination

An implementation plan and an updated regional hydrogen strategy will be created. The project develops the activities of the Central Region Hydrogen Platform - a place where companies, public administration and experts meet to jointly coordinate the direction of development of the hydrogen economy.

Preparation for drawing subsidies and investments

The goal is to collect the necessary data, prepare the area and coordinate actors so that the region is ready to effectively use available financial resources from the EU and the Czech Republic for the development of hydrogen projects.
