Description

Focus of the project:

The project represents a unique systemic solution focused on the transformation of the region, which goes beyond the standard activities of UJEP and means a substantial strengthening of the so-called third role of the university. UJEP expands the implementation of proven activities within the Ústí Region, while strengthening cooperation with key partners from the region and aiming them at the expected sectoral transformation of the region. The goal of the project is to set up sustainable mechanisms in the addressed areas, which will lead to systemic changes thanks to their transformational potential. The project also aims at the quality of education, the quality of decision-making and the quality of life of the inhabitants of the region.

Description of the activities of ICUK – project partner:

Activities to support entrepreneurship and education in entrepreneurial competences for pupils and students.
The sub-activity Entrepreneurial pre-incubation and entrepreneurship aims to educate the target group on the subject of "entrepreneurship" as preparation for entrepreneurship. The activity across age groups educates and popularizes the issue of "entrepreneurship" already from II. St. Primary school, through high school to university students and brings a career alternative in the form of entrepreneurship in the future with the potential for impact in a structurally affected region.

Schedule of phase I (preparation): 1/10/2023 – 31/3/2024

As part of the preparatory part, the needs in the topic of pre-incubation will be defined from the point of view of the target groups, based on the experience of ICUK, other innovation centers and field investigations. Collaborating entities related to target groups (schools) will be defined, spread evenly across the territory, cooperation will be established with the so-called ambassadors of entrepreneurship at schools (selected cooperating pedagogues, approx. 20 people), including joint preparation of the implementation of activities. There will be the preparation of background materials, a marketing strategy, including defining the content and schedule of individual events/workshops/internships, etc. implemented within the sub-activity. As part of the preparatory phase, the content and technical provision of the semester course at UJEP and the content of summer internships/workshops at ICUK will also be prepared.

Phase II schedule (implementation): 1/4/2024 – 31/12/2027

As part of the implementation part (piloting and verification), all planned events of different formats for target groups evenly distributed across the territory will be dealt with, feedback will be continuously collected, educational and popularization content will be continuously updated and, in the final part, a final impact evaluation sub-activities in the territory. The implementation phase will be solved both by expert solvers in cooperation with experts from practice in the field, and in the form of services using verified products in other regions of the Czech Republic. There will be implementation (verification) of the prepared semester course at UJEP and preparation of the content of summer internships/workshops at ICUK.
