The Startup Go Grill event is an already established event that grills startups from the program at the end of the business incubator run by the Innovation Center of the Ústí Region. In front of the general public, and especially in front of a jury made up of experienced entrepreneurs and company directors, the startupists must stand up in their five-minute presentation. And that's exactly what the ePultik project, which wants to help local farmers with their sales of goods to end customers, succeeded.
ICUK's business incubator is a program where budding entrepreneurs develop their ideas into functional projects or an already functional project into a rapidly developing business, with the help of workshops, consultants on various topics and experienced mentors. Its duration is from 6 to 12 months and ends with a public presentation called StartUp Go Grill. During this event, budding entrepreneurs compete for prizes worth a total of CZK 50,000.
“I am personally excited that the current round of the business incubator was not typically about IT startups, but focused on social entrepreneurship and projects that have an impact on society. And I, as an Ústí patriot, appreciate that. The presentations of our startupists must be praised. Their level was great,” commented immediately after the end of the event, Martin Mata, director of the Innovation Center of the Ústí Region, which organizes the event.
First place and also the public prize, which the participants of the event themselves decided by voting, was won by Robert Gulyas and Šimon Brož s ePultik project, which helps Ústí farmers with their presentation and sale of goods to end customers. It is a Rohlík.cz from Ústí focused on local food products.
“The guys gave a great presentation that answered exactly what they had: the intention, the vision, the economics of the project, the team behind the project, the future steps and also what they currently need. In addition, they also came with experience in the field. And the fact that they stood up to both the jury and the public just shows what a high-quality project it is." says Jan Wedlich, manager of the business incubator.
The OVERVIEW ACTIVITY project took second place from Jiří Šimůnský and Martina Marešová, who not only helps children to get excited about school activities with suburban camps, but also brings military education back to schools in a new guise, for example.
Third place was taken by the PANOPLY project, which is supported by Kateřina Javůrková and Michaela Labudová, mainly thanks to its visual form. It focuses on the creation of design paper objects intended for decorating interiors and celebrations, and creative sets for children.
With the end of the business incubator, there is a period when it is possible to send an application and sign up with your project to run in 2023.
