Virtual assistants from HypeDigitaly are changing the way companies and authorities communicate with their customers

Automation that saves time and nerves – that's how you could summarize the benefits of the technology developed by the startup HypeDigitaly.AI. Their main product is a smart virtual assistant that helps companies and authorities simplify and speed up communication with customers or citizens.

"People often imagine a chatbot as a simple assistant in an e-shop that will refer them to an operator when they don't know what to do. But that's no longer the case," explains Pavel Čermák, founder and CEO of HypeDigitaly. Their solution is not based only on simple answers, but on a deep understanding of data and context - the chatbot is trained directly on the content of the website or internal documentation of the organization.

"People often imagine a chatbot as a simple assistant in an e-shop that will refer them to an operator when they don't know what to do. But that's no longer the case today."

Digital assistant for citizens and authorities
One of the concrete examples of the use of HypeDigitaly technology is the regional offices in the Ústí nad Labem and Vysočina regions. Here, virtual assistants help handle thousands of inquiries per month – from basic information about subsidies to quick directions to relevant departments or contact persons. They significantly facilitate orientation in a large amount of information and improve the accessibility of services for the public.

"Public administration has very complex and extensive websites. A chatbot can navigate a person to the right page in a few seconds without having to navigate the website structure in a complicated way," describes Pavel Čermák. In addition, the aforementioned technology can talk to dozens of people at once - with an accuracy of answers that, according to the authorities, must reach at least 80-90 %.

From Delphi to AI: a personal journey

Pavel Čermák's path to artificial intelligence was definitely not straightforward. He started as a programmer in a company, where he worked with the outdated Delphi language. He then worked his way up through the corporate world to his own business. "Honestly, I never really loved programming. But I knew I needed to do something that had a bigger future," he admits openly.

He tried websites, crypto investments, and eventually a combination of laziness and creativity led him to the world of automation and AI. The key turning point for him was the discovery of ChatGPT in 2023. "I immediately realized that this was a technology that would change the world. I started experimenting and eventually created my own AI assistant," he describes.

One programmer instead of ten

Although the HypeDigitaly team consists of only a few people, thanks to modern no-code and low-code tools, they can handle the work of an entire development team. "We use tools like Cursor or Replit, where AI helps us write code. We just oversee the quality. Two people can handle the performance of ten programmers," says Pavel Čermák.

In addition to developing the assistant, the company is also building its own dashboard for performance monitoring and feedback. "All of this helps us deliver a truly high-quality service – whether to government agencies or corporate environments." he adds.

E-commerce of the future

In addition to public administration, HypeDigitaly sees huge potential in e-commerce. Virtual assistants can play a key role in increasing conversions here. "Instead of going through complicated filters, the customer simply types: 'I want black jeans in size S.' And the chatbot instantly offers them exactly what they are looking for – with images, links and ratings," describes Pavel Čermák.

Speed, personalization, and the ability to respond within seconds – these are, according to him, the keys to success in this day and age, when companies are fighting for every second of a customer's attention.

ICUK as a key partner

In 2024, the startup applied to the Startup Go! incubation program of the Innovation Center of the Ústí nad Labem Region. Čermák considers this to be an important moment. They used the experience from workshops and consultations directly in their company, for example, when improving business skills or preparing presentations.

What next?

In the future, HypeDigitaly wants to grow, recruit more developers and marketers, and focus on new sectors – hotels, reservation systems, but also larger e-shops. And of course, stay at the forefront of technological trends.

"We believe that in the coming years, today's simple chatbots will become fully-fledged agents that can plan, search for information in real time, and really think. And that everyone with a website will have to get one sooner or later," concludes Pavel Čermák with a smile.
