The largest innovation festival in the Czech and Slovak regions, Ynovate Fest took place this year on May 23 and 24, 2024 in Olomouc, attracted more than two hundred visitors and offered a rich program full of inspiring lectures, workshops and competitions.
This year You're renovating the party was focused on startups and life in them, creating an ideal platform for sharing ideas and establishing new business contacts. Participants had the opportunity to take part in interactive workshops and panel discussions led by experts on efficiency, resilience and well-being in practice and building the perfect pitch deck for investors.
The highlight of the festival was the startup competition, where ten top projects from the Czech Republic and Slovakia were presented. Its winner was a Slovak startup iTranSys, offering optimization of transport processes and scheduling of timetables with the help of AI. Their solutions can find the most suitable vehicle routes, reduce costs and increase passenger satisfaction. Thanks to the victory, iTransys will be able to travel to TechCrunch Disrupt 2024 in Silicon Valley, the world's most sought-after startup destination. The special prize of the jury went to the Olomouc project Pozemkov.cz, an online search engine and land comparison tool throughout the Czech Republic.
The audience was won over by the presentation Rowingo, a unique rowing trainer for top athletes, representative of the Innovation Center of the Ústí Region, winner of Startup Go Grill 2022. The Rowingo simulator, which faithfully copies the rowing movement, has already been presented at the World Rowing Championships in the past, and this year the general public will also have the opportunity to try it out in the ICUK tent on Olympic Festival by Lake Most during the summer holidays. The representatives of the Innovation Center of the Ústí Region, which has been a member of the Ynovate network since its inception, came to support the project and the festival.
Ynovate Fest 2024 thus brought inspiration for further development and plans to continue supporting innovative projects and startups that have the potential to positively influence the economy and the environment. Thanks to iTranSys' victory, the next edition will take place in Slovakia.
