We are looking for a person with an interest in entrepreneurship and innovation who has experienced the startup world firsthand - ideally, they have founded their own startup, experienced its ups and downs, and would now like to help other budding entrepreneurs in the Ústí nad Labem region grow.

 WHAT WILL YOU DO? 

  • You will be the coordinator of the startup community in the Ústí nad Labem Region - getting to know it, connecting it, and helping it grow.
  • Actively seek out and support new startup projects – from idea to growth. 
  • Helping founders navigate the world of business, investments and grants. 
  • Build and develop a community of startups, mentors, investors and partners in the region. 
  • Represent ICUK in startup associations, events, fairs and conferences in the Czech Republic and abroad. 
  • Bringing new trends, inspiration and know-how from the Czech and global startup scene to our team and to our clients. 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

  • An intern who has experience with founding or developing a startup (ideally first-hand). 
  • Enthusiast for innovation, entrepreneurship and community events. 
  • A good networker who is not afraid to reach out to new people and connect them. 
  • A communicative person who can listen, share experiences and inspire others. 
  • English at a basic level (min. B1) – you will occasionally travel outside the region or meet with international partners. 
  • Category B driving license – you will often be in the field among startups. 

🎓 Formal education is not crucial - what matters is your experience, energy, and desire to help other founders succeed.

Key Account Manager

We are looking for an energetic and proactive colleague for the position Key Account Manager (KAM). This position offers the opportunity for active field work and an important role in the development of the business environment of the Ústí nad Labem Region.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Actively seek out and approach new clients from among companies, startups and other organizations in the Ústí nad Labem Region.
  • Build and develop long-term relationships with local companies, institutions and municipalities.
  • Map client needs and identify their potential for growth, digitalization, innovation or financing.
  • Propose specific development solutions and connect clients with appropriate experts, partners and ICUK services.
  • Collaborate with local governments and public administration representatives to develop the business environment and synergy between the public and private sectors.
  • Monitor grant opportunities and provide clients with support in their use.
  • Coordinate activities with other members of the ICUK team and participate in achieving project goals.
  • Actively represent ICUK at events and meetings in the region, and possibly beyond.

 WHAT SHOULD YOU HAVE?

  • University degree, ideally in economics, business or other relevant fields, or secondary education with relevant experience.
  • Ability to understand English (minimum A2 level required) – occasionally there will be a need to go on a business trip abroad or present our activities to foreign representatives.
  • Category B driving license (required), you will often be in the field.
  • Experience working with companies, excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to proactively seek out new opportunities and build relationships.
  • Knowledge of the regional business environment is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

Innovation Project Coordinator

Join our team Innovation Center of the Ústí nad Labem Region. We are looking for a new team member, coordinator of innovation projects, who will participate in the development of the region and its transformation into a modern, innovation-driven region. If you are interested in connecting entrepreneurs, academia and public institutions and want to contribute to positive changes in the Ústí nad Labem Region, then this position could be for you!

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Connecting different actors – companies, universities, public institutions for the purpose of better cooperation in the development of the region
  • Support the development of smart specialization in the region – key sectors with the greatest potential (e.g. energy, digitalization, chemistry, landscape innovation, eHealth)
  • Follow new trends and opportunities in the field of technological, economic, social, European and global areas
  • Search for financing options – orientation in the area of grant instruments, funds, programs and calls, but also in commercial financing of innovations, and direct relevant actors to these resources
  • Participate in the preparation of strategic initiatives, pilot projects and cooperation with stakeholders
  • To create a bridge between the region and the national and international levels – ministries, national RIS3, technology platforms and other entities
  • Collaborate with colleagues from ICUK on Smart Accelerator activities (communication, analytics, innovation hubs) and other projects

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • A colleague interested in regional development and the ability to work with different actors – someone who can motivate entrepreneurs, academia and public institutions to collaborate effectively
  • Active and independent personality, who is not afraid to lead negotiations at the top corporate level, ask questions and seek solutions
  • A person who is or will be able to navigate private and public forms of financing innovation and company development

PREREQUISITES:

  • University education

Join our team The Innovation Center of the Ústí nad Labem Region is looking for a Marketing Manager., who will be dedicated to promoting our activities. We are expecting a reinforcement who can promote the ICUK and Ústí nad Labem region brand through clear and attractive communication so that it is visible to startups, established companies, partners and the public. WHAT WILL YOU DO?
  • Create and implement a marketing strategy for promoting services, projects and events of ICUK and the entire region (support for startups, education, international activities, etc.)
  • Manage the activities of the marketing department
  • Communicate key projects and achievements of ICUK
  • Manage online channels (website, social networks, newsletters) and content marketing (articles, blogs, PR)
  • Coordinate event marketing – promotion, organization and support of events for startups, companies and educational projects
  • Collaborate with project managers and other ICUK teams
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on marketing campaigns
  • Build the ICUK brand in the region and raise the visibility of innovative companies and projects
PREREQUISITES:
  • University degree in marketing, business, economics – an advantage
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing - experience in managing campaigns, budgets and projects
  • Experience with team management
  • Ability to think strategically, create, and complete tasks independently
  • Excellent communication skills (writing, presenting)
  • Knowledge of digital tools – Google Analytics, AI tools, emailing systems, basic graphics programs, etc.

  • Plan, organize and implement ICUK events - from professional workshops to networking to larger public events.

  • Communicate with partners and participate in building communities around innovation
    and business activities.

  • Experience in event management, production, marketing or event organization.
