Indirect support

Indirect support will be provided to SMEs in this call. EU and national rules on public aid apply. This call follows the approach set out in the Interreg Central Europe Programme Guidelines as set out in the Programme Guide (section I.4.4.3).

In accordance with the requirements of the Interreg Central Europe programme, the amount of support provided to each beneficiary does not exceed the set programme limit (the amount of indirect support per beneficiary is 957.75 EUR, i.e. approximately 23,943.75 CZK). Indirect support is therefore provided on the basis of Article 20a of Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 (GBER).

We confirm that the following conditions apply:

  • The amount of support allocated to each final beneficiary was determined by the partners before the start of the implementation of the project activities (or part thereof) to which the indirect support relates, and was approved by the Joint Secretariat;
  • The undertaking receiving the aid is not considered to be an "undertaking in difficulty" (a declaration on honour from the SME will be required). This concept is defined in Article 2(18) of Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 (as amended). According to Article 1.4(c) of the GBER, this does not apply to undertakings which were not in difficulty on 31 December 2019 but which entered into difficulty between 1 January 2020 and 31 December 2021;
  • By participating in the call, companies undertake to fulfill the obligations associated with indirect support as administered by the responsible organization ICUK.
