TelePortík changes the perspective on preschool education
The Startup GO! program from the Innovation Center of the Ústí nad Labem Region (ICUK) is a free business incubator for aspiring entrepreneurs and startups under 3 years old who have an idea and want to turn it into a functioning business. During the intensive three-month program, participants will verify the potential of their idea, create and improve their business plan, attend workshops on various topics, and consult with mentors and experts on individual topics. The final presentations in front of a jury and the public of the Startup Go Grill are then aimed at testing and training their ability to attract potential investors.
TelePortík connects parents, educators and experts
The TelePortík project is led by Pavla Banašová, Kristýna Ihmová and Markéta Včeláková. TelePortík brings a modern perspective on the support and education of preschool children. It is a platform that connects parents, educators and experts and helps them better understand the needs of the child. It is based on a clear and systematic diagnosis for children aged 3 to 7, which significantly simplifies administration for educators and at the same time provides understandable data on the child's development.
Thanks to TelePortík, adults can work with their children in a targeted and coherent manner. The platform offers practical recommendations, tailor-made educational materials and expert advice from the fields of speech therapy, psychology, physiotherapy or special education. It also provides educators with ready-made preparations and documentation materials, all in accordance with applicable legislation.
The incubator brought a development strategy
They entered the incubator with a vision and a professional foundation, but the project was still in the concept stage. They had practical experience and an idea of who they wanted to help, but the structure of the business model, a clear grasp of the product, and a strategy for further project development were missing.
The biggest benefit of the business incubator for them was the systematic guidance, feedback and the opportunity to consult everything with experts from various fields. At the same time, they greatly appreciated the sharing of experience directly in ICUK with other projects. Another plus was the final presentation in front of the public and an expert jury and the opportunity to present the project to other people who could give the project a different perspective, feedback and evaluation. During the business incubator, the founders clarified their priorities, what to focus on, what to start with and what can really wait.
And what does victory mean for the project?“Enormous joy, but also humility and great responsibility, which drives us to develop the project. The win is confirmation for us that our project makes sense not only professionally, but also from the point of view of innovation and practice. It is a strong motivation for us to continue and at the same time proof that projects in the field of education also have their place among innovations. The win helps us to accelerate the entire process of creating TelePortík, to set things in motion. Thanks to mentoring, we have valuable contacts and advice and it also gives us greater credibility when dealing with partners and institutions. “"The project founders responded directly.
Will an investor be found?
Their next steps will be to find and bring in an investor to the project and establish cooperation with an IT specialist who will build the entire application so that it works and can be further developed in the future. At the same time, they want to focus on pilot verification of the project in practice, further adjustments based on feedback from the competition, and gradual preparation of the project for wider use in all institutions that provide education for children aged 3-7, whether it is kindergartens, children's groups, private schools or similar educational institutions. In the long term, they want to further develop the project so that it is a real support for educators, parents and other experts who are involved in the upbringing and education of children.
And what would they say to people who are just considering an incubator?“We definitely recommend that they go for it! The incubator is a great opportunity to sort out your thoughts, gain perspective and move the project a big step forward. You don't need to have everything ready - what is important is the desire to learn, openness to feedback and determination to develop the project.”
So what? Are you going to do it? We look forward to your final presentation. :-) But first you have to apply to the incubator.
