Social entrepreneurship in the Ústí nad Labem region is gaining new support. The Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Employment and the Innovation Center of the Ústí nad Labem region have confirmed their cooperation by signing a memorandum.

The Innovation Center of the Ústí nad Labem Region (ICUK) has become the scene of an important moment for the social economy in the region. Right in our premises, representatives of ICUK and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs signed a Memorandum of Cooperation within the InSPIRO project. The signature confirmed what we have been building together for a long time – a partnership that has a real impact on the lives of people in the Ústí nad Labem Region.

Based on the memorandum, ICUK becomes the official SPoint Partner for the Ústí nad Labem Region. We will provide methodological support to entities that want to transform into an integration social enterprise according to the new Act No. 468/2024 Coll., coordinate educational events, awareness campaigns and share good practice from the field.

The region needs not only new technologies, investments and innovations, but also tools that can engage people, strengthen local communities and create job opportunities for those who have difficulty entering the regular labor market. By combining knowledge of the regional environment, ICUK's experience in supporting businesses and the expertise of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs specialists, practical support is created for entities that want to develop towards integrative social entrepreneurship. I believe that this cooperation will help not only individual organizations, but also the entire region, because social entrepreneurship can be one of the concrete tools for a fair and sustainable transformation of the Ústí nad Labem Region,"“ says Martin Mata, director of the Innovation Center of the Ústí nad Labem Region.
