FRAME4CITY
An innovative deep-tech startup that, by combining computer vision and artificial intelligence, is changing the way photovoltaic power plants are designed. From weeks to hours, with maximum precision.
Founder Michal Polic originally came to ICUK with the Reframed project, with which he graduated from the incubator. However, at the suggestion of consultants, he revised his plan and used the background of Frame4City to develop the APOLLON platform. The company is now solving the inefficient design of photovoltaics in cooperation with partners: instead of manual drawing, the software creates accurate 3D twins of buildings from drone images. Thanks to artificial intelligence, it automatically designs the optimal solution, including documentation. ICUK helped the company not only with the transformation of the product, but also with obtaining the first orders and directing it to subsidy support.

The photovoltaic design process is so much faster thanks to automation.
Common practice relies on manual redrawing of data into 2D drawings, leading to errors in shielding and performance estimates. Frame4City uses advanced ray-tracing to simulate real-time lighting and AI algorithms that optimize not only panel placement but also economic returns with respect to the spot market and community energy.
„"Collaboration with ICUK helped us transform our technological know-how in the field of computer vision into a scalable product. We received valuable feedback on the business model and connections to partners, which was key to preparing our development""
Michal Polic
