INCREASING CREATIVITY AND MATHEMATICAL THINKING IN SCHOOLS

The STAGES project by Israeli talent mentor Opher Brayer is aimed at developing creativity and mathematical thinking in primary school pupils. ICUK helped to launch and test the project in nine schools primarily in the Usti Region, but it was also deployed in schools in Prague, Mnichovo Hradiště and Hořice.

Nearly 1,000 children have tried the method of developing analytical thinking, combinatorics and creativity in several thousand exercises in the fields of playing a musical instrument, karate, drawing, geometry, etc. and dozens of teachers have been trained; the best ones have been certified to train other teachers.

Thanks to the help of ICUK, the Stages method was accredited by the Ministry of Education in 2019.
