The Innovation Centre of the Ústí Region (ICUK) has successfully passed the EBN certification process and obtained a five-year membership and the right to use the brand of this prestigious European network of innovation and business centres EU|BIC. Besides ICUK, only four other organisations from Czechia belong to the premier league of European innovation centres. For companies in the region, ICUK will provide access to world-class training and partnerships.
The Innovation Centre of the Ústí Region underwent a comprehensive certification process combined with a personal audit of the EBN committee members during May. The licence confirming the highest standards of service for ICUK was received on Wednesday 14 June at the EBN International Congress in Brno by the organisation’s director Martin Mata, who said:
“The preparation for the several-day EBN audit was demanding, but we had already done the essential work long before that – through our several years of activity, continuous development and a clear vision to move the region and companies towards innovation. I consider the EU|BIC mark as a recognition of this work by a respected international authority.”

EU|BIC represents Europe’s largest and most prestigious network of business and innovation centres. It consists of more than 165 certified organisations and associate members (which now includes ICUK), serving more than 36,000 innovative companies and entrepreneurs in 35 countries.
The certification and five-year authorisation for ICUK is a confirmation of the highest standards of service for businesses and will bring new opportunities and possibilities for companies in the region at European and global level. Via ICUK, they will gain access to exclusive subject-specific training, financial tools, new partnerships and collaboration with customers and business partners in global markets.
