PISQWORKS
is the largest student competition in the logical strategy game of tic-tac-toe, intended for primary and secondary school students in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It is organized by the Student Cyber Games association, whose team consists of dozens of students interested in game organization, marketing, IT and logistics.
The competition has two parts: team and individual. In the team part, three-member teams from elementary schools and five-member teams from high schools compete. Teams go through three levels of tournaments: regional, regional and Grand Final.
The competition attracts thousands of participants, with more than 7,500 competitors participating in the pIšQworkach each year.
The goal is not just a game, but also an educational and community project - the organizers offer students the opportunity to get involved in organizing events and develop skills in PR, organization, or technology.
The goal
co-organization of the regional round of the PišQworky competition in cooperation with Student Cyber Games is to support development of logical thinking, strategic thinking and teamwork among primary and secondary school students and at the same time create an environment for systematic work with talent in the region. The event offers students an attractive and understandable form of competition that combines play with the development of key skills that can be used across disciplines, especially in areas of computer science, mathematics and digital competences. By involving ICUK as a regional partner, the competition also becomes part of a broader ecosystem of activities focused on creativity, entrepreneurship and the development of the potential of young people in the Ústí nad Labem Region.
Benefit
The aim of the event is not only to engage students in a meaningful competitive activity, but also to strengthen the community and educational dimensions of the competition. Students develop their skills in strategic planning, concentration, working under pressure and teamwork, while student organizers gain valuable practical experience in event organization, communication, marketing, IT and logistics.
The regional round in the Ústí nad Labem Region also contributes to the identification of gifted students, their further direction in follow-up activities, and the strengthening of the positive perception of the region as a place that supports talent, innovation, and modern forms of education.
⇒ The event is organized by the student association Student Cyber Games in cooperation with ICUK through the RUR project – Region to University, University of the Region, reg. no. CZ.10.02.01/00/22_002/0000210. ⇐
