Valeo Temp Job
Take a temp job and join in the development of software for autonomous automobiles!
In February 2017, The Innovation Centre of th Usti Region and J. E. Purkyne University are launching a temp job like none other in the region to date
What awaits you?
Cooperation with Valeo, a technology company that develops autonomous vehicles, i.e., driverless vehicles. Taking a seat at your desk, you begin processing videos. Scenes of road traffic have to be converted into a form that’s easier for computers to understand. This means you’ll be marking cars, cyclists, pedestrians, and other road users.
Officially, you will have a contract of services with the J. E. Purkyne University (UJEP).
What skills do you need?
All you need are basic computer skills. You don’t have to be an IT specialist and it doesn’t matter what you study, or if you study at all. In fact, it doesn’t even matter how old you are. The important thing is that you want to work, are interested in new technologies, and are thorough.
What do you gain?
An interesting work experience that will stand out in your CV. You can be one of the creators of the driving system of the future. In addition to that, you’ll earn a minimum of 99 CZK per hour (gross). Moreover, we’ll make sure you have a free snack, access to the kitchenette, and the possibility to order lunch.
What are the hours?
Highly flexible. You can work every day of the week, including weekends, generally from 8am to 8pm (if necessary you can start as early as 6am). Using our reservation system, you choose blocks that best suit your schedule (usually these are 4-hours blocks, but it is possible to choose shorter 2-hour blocks). The condition is that you put in at least 12 hours per week and 4 hours per day. The daily work period is limited to a maximum of 10 hours.
Where will you work?
At the Nupharo complex, which is a 15-minute journey from Ustíi nad Labem. You can take advantage of the local bus service – No. 452 – which leaves from the Usti nad Labem city centre; you get off at the stop called Libouchec Kninice rozc. We’ve adapted the work blocks to correspond with the bus schedule, which you can find here. There’s also free parking on the premises.
Write us at valeo@icuk.cz and tell us something about you by, for example, sending your CV and a short motivation letter. We’ll get in touch, set a date for training, and once all the formalities have been settled, you can set to work in a team that’s shaping the future.
