Regional Development and Project Manager

We are looking for reinforcement for the innovation and development of the Ústí nad Labem Region. Join us at the Innovation Center of the Ústí nad Labem Region and help develop a region where innovation changes the future. We are looking for a Regional Development and Project Manager who will connect strategy and practice - from supporting cooperation between companies, researchers, and public administration to coordinating international projects.

What are you going to do?

• Participate in the development of the innovation environment in the Ústí nad Labem Region - monitor technological trends, help startups and new companies with innovative ideas
• Cooperate with universities, companies and public administration on strategic projects (e.g. within the SMART Accelerator of the Central Administrative Court).
• Coordinate subsidy projects (Interreg and others) - from planning to administrative support.
• Contribute to the creation of the Regional Innovation Strategy and its action plans.
• Analyze the needs of the region and look for ways to connect innovations with real challenges.

• Basic overview of regional development and innovation support.
• English at least at level B1 – communication with partners abroad.
• Ability to work independently and in a team – we will appreciate proactivity, creativity and analytical thinking.

Financial Instruments Pilot Verification Manager

Help us find new ways to finance innovation and development of companies in the Ústí nad Labem Region. At the Innovation Center of the Ústí nad Labem Region, we are looking for a colleague who will participate in the pilot verification of financial instruments to support innovations, startups and companies with transformational potential.

This is not a classic banking agenda or "hard finance" - we are looking for someone who is familiar with the environment of business support, subsidies and development tools, can think in context and enjoys connecting analytical work with real practice. The position is also suitable for someone who wants to expand their experience in the field of regional development, innovation and strategic setting of new support tools.

Place of work: ICUK headquarters (Velká Hradební 2800/54, Ústí nad Labem) + field work at events
Job: possibility of part-time or full-time employment

WHAT AWAITS YOU

• coordination of pilot verification of financial instruments within the Smart Accelerator project for the Ústí nad Labem Region IV,
• cooperation in selecting and working with approximately 10 case projects (startup ideas and companies with growth potential),
• mapping of company needs and barriers to obtaining financing,
• collection, evaluation and interpretation of practical experience,
• searching for inspiration and examples of good practice from the Czech Republic and abroad,
• preparation of documents, analyses, recommendations and proposals for the further development of financial instruments in the region,
• communication with partners from the innovation ecosystem (companies, experts, public administration, institutions),
• cooperation with the ICUK team and other colleagues in the field of business and innovation support.

• you have experience with project management, business support, business development, analysis or public programs,
• you have at least a basic understanding of financing development projects, supporting innovation or the business environment,
• you can work with information, data and interview outputs and translate them into understandable conclusions,

• you are independent, meticulous and know how to get things done,
• you can communicate with different types of partners.

We are looking for a creative and organizationally capable colleague who wants to participate in the preparation and implementation of events connecting schools, students, innovators and entrepreneurs in the Ústí nad Labem Region.

Your role will include the complete implementation of events from design to evaluation - workshops, student festivals, hackathons, project days and many other events for students, schools and the public. You will become the brain and engine of our actions.
